ABOUT ME

Raised in Dallas, Texas I developed an interest in social activism. After moving to the Texas state capital for college, I fell in love with the city's commitment to justice and tolerance.

I am currently earning my bachelor's degree in journalism with a minor in government at the Moody College of Communication and the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin. Here, I have learned the importance of proper representation of all communities and strive to report how citizens find solutions to some of the world's most pressing social and political problems. While working with the UT Black Diaspora Archive and freelancing for the Houston Defender, I reported on social justice in the Black community.
